Some people do it within days after Christmas, other's do it by New Year's Day, and the rest get it done by January 6th. But me, the retired teacher, still does not have it done on January 15th! That is right, the Christmas tree is still up!
All alone in the corner, the tree stands~ No more family photos take in front of it, It's now collecting dust. The ornaments are packed away, stocking gone and thank you notes written and mailed. Yet the tree remains. Yes, you heard that right. The tree is bare, but still stands alone in the corner window.
I vacuum around it! The dogs walk under it! I would really like to move furniture back into the places they belong...but the tree is in the way! Gee, if we wait 10 more days it will be a month after the Great Day. This is depressing...and absurd wouldn't you agree?
All I need are three big bags...one for each section of the fake tree...stuff the parts in the bags and haul it to the storage garage. Of course I need some help (aka Dan!). Stay tuned and find out when I post Here Yesterday...Gone Today!
